What are the laws regarding guides and interpreters in Japan?

ENJP

To accompany foreigners talking in foreign languages and guiding them while being paid, the license of guide-interpreter is required by Japanese law. TOMODACHI GUIDE is a legal service for guides because guides go to trips in pairs, where one guide shows around in Japanese and the other guide translate from Japanese to other languages when guides need to explain about a trip like Sensoji Temple in Asakusa.
That is why guides' roles will be different between showing around in Japanese and translating from Japanese to other languages on tha trip day when they need to tell you about historical temples and these kind of things. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
